Take a ferry to nearby islands like Koh Yao Yai, Koh Nok, and Koh Hong. The best time to visit the beach would be during the dry season, which runs generally from November to April.

Exploring Island 

Koh Yao Noi, a hidden gem in Phang Nga Bay, is best explored on two wheels. Unlike the bustling streets of Phuket or Krabi, Noi Thailand roads are peaceful and scenic, making it a perfect place for a relaxed scooter adventure. Renting a scooter allows you to uncover hidden beaches, visit local villages, and experience the island’s natural beauty at your own pace.

A scooter allows you to ride all around the island on paved roads. As the road is circular, you can ride all over the main parts of the island. Below is a route starting in the southeast, but you could start it from wherever you rent your bike. Ride up to Klong Jark Beach and have a paddle, then ride the picturesque road over the hill and down to Tha Kao village. You can park here easily, in a car park near the pier, and go to visit the Hornbill Viewpoint or check out the local shops and restaurants. You can also grab a coffee from a stall 

After passing through Tha Khao Village, continue heading north, where the road begins to wind over picturesque hills, offering breathtaking views. Stick to this route as it leads you towards Tong Do Pier. This pier is worth a visit, as it extends over vast mangrove forests and reaches into the sea. If you happen to arrive during low tide, you’ll spot an array of wading birds hunting for crabs, as well as mudskippers hopping across the shallow waters.

For a well-timed lunch break, Pradu Seafood Restaurant is a great choice nearby. It serves fresh seafood with a view.

From Tong Do Pier, you have two options: continue exploring further north and then backtrack, or follow a scenic loop around the island. If you choose the latter, head south, following a tree-lined road that eventually curves left near a public park. For those still eager to explore piers, there’s another one accessible through the park. Otherwise, continue on the road as it leads into the island’s main town.

In town, you’ll find a mix of restaurants, street food vendors, and shops selling souvenirs, clothing, and even alcohol. This is a great stop to refuel, grab supplies, or stock up on snacks. If you’re riding a Honda Click scooter, you’ll appreciate its handy under-seat storage space. There’s even a 7-Eleven, perfect if you’re craving a quick snack or a classic Thai-style toastie.

After passing through the town, the road continues south, curving back east until it reconnects with the coastal route where your journey started.

For those comfortable with a little off-road riding, there’s an adventure waiting just north of Tha Khao Village—the hidden gems of Long Beach and Little Long Beach. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can push further north, though be mindful of the rugged paths. We attempted to go all the way but had to turn back due to an unexpected detour into a ditch—so proceed with caution!

Visit Koh Nok

Koh Nok is a small Island just in front of Koh Ya Noi. It is easily accessible, and you don’t need a boat or kayak to reach it. At low tide, you can just wander across a sandbar from the mainland to this tiny island. Park up your scooter (or just walk) next to the Stella restaurant and just walk down the sand. The island is small but the short walk there is worth doing. Koh Nok is an uninhabited island that remains untouched by mass tourism, offering visitors a peaceful escape. With its golden sandy beach, lush greenery, and spectacular viewpoint, this island is perfect for a day trip. Koh Nok’s beach is pristine, with soft golden sand and calm, shallow waters. It’s an ideal spot for sunbathing, picnicking, or simply unwinding while soaking in the peaceful surroundings.

Kayaking

Kayaking at Koh Nok offers a tranquil and picturesque experience for anyone looking to explore the natural beauty of Thailand’s islands.
